The Canyons
A few short years ago The Canyons was a little known “locals hill”, with limited terrain, an antiquated lift system and few, if any, amenities. For its entire history, first as Park West, then as Wolf Mountain, the resort had existed in virtual obscurity in the shadows of its famous neighboring resorts, Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley. That was then! Now, in what seems like an overnight transformation, The Canyons can proudly boast of being the largest single ski and snowboard resort in Utah, and one of the 5 largest in North America, with potential expansion plans that could eventually make it the largest.
The resort is ideally suited to families looking for a skiing/riding experience in which all members, whether experts or novices, can enjoy the whole day together; nearly all The Canyons lifts, many of them high speed detachable, service terrain for all abilities so everyone can ride the same lifts together and choose a run of varying difficulty and meet the rest of the party at the bottom of the same lift for a ride together to the top again. The burgeoning village and on-mountain facilities are as varied as the ski terrain itself, yet easily navigable. There is something for everyone in the resorts diversity of shops, restaurants and après ski activities (such as regular outdoor concerts in “The Forum” amphitheater in the village). Only minutes from The Canyons is a further array of attractions including Olympic venues (ski jumping, bobsled, Nordic skiing, alpine ski/snowboard, to name a few), Park City’s quaint, historic Main Street with its eclectic galleries, shops, restaurants and dazzling night life, tubing hills, snowmobiling, factory stores…the list goes on and on.

Olympic Park
In 2002 Utah Olympic Park was the site of the luge, the bobsled, the skeleton and Nordic and freestyle ski jumping. Today it is the training site for the US ski team with recruiting and development programs in every discipline for future Olympians.
Admission is free and you can tour the ski jumps, bobsled track and the Alf Engen Utah Ski Museum. Or go on a guided tour, ride the zipline and the alpine slide. Ride a bobsled on wheels down the track with a professional driver pulling 5 Gs at 80 miles an hour. On Saturdays the freestyle team performs flips into the splash pool.
The Olympic Park offers sports programs and clinics for kids and adults both summer and winter
